first, from one day onwards whenever i connect my itouch 2G into my laptop, it will get blue screen and auto restart after detecting my itouch connect. so i tried to reinstall itunes and so and so.. i pressed the home button and the power button and hold.. and there it goes with a picture of usb cable plugging into itunes. well.. so i guess that will recover if i connect it to my itune? so now i cant connect my itouch to my computer and i can use it as well

    Okay.

Rest assure your iPod Touch is not bricked.
The blue screen my be from LibUSB.
What operating system are you using.

Now if your on Vista, uninstall libusb asap because there's many known issues and even the dev team them selves said its recommended you uninstall it.

Yours ipod should be fine, no restore needed but your giving me a vague discription.
Just reboot your ipod touch and your pc and you should be fine

yeAH, Uninstall libusb when you go to safe mode.

when you start up your computer, there should be options, click any of the safe mode options...

exact thing happened to me... (fcking Libusb)

    Wait?

    Your not jailbroken are you?

Reboot your pc via the start menu and shutdown then click restart or something (Hint: Its the green one)

Reset your ipod touch by holding power and home untill it turns black then hold home untill you see the boot logo and then wait.

    -_-

Do you have a status bar (The thing with the time)
    OR Just the logo.

You can boot out of recovery mode with irecovery
