let it run out of battery and try to turn it on fort hem.
or if you can - force restore and just leave it on the connect screen. Don't try to "brick" it. Besides, what'd you do?

Oh! Idea! On summerboard, scroll between two pages, when you're in the middle and tap an icon. Go back to home screen, the first page should've disappeared. Or you could hide all your icons and use dock.

I would definitely try to solve the problem instead. If they want to confiscate it, that's because of something else, not only because of the mere existence of your iPod, right?

Bricking it, or tricking them thinking it is, will most likely make them bring it back for repair then take it away from you for whatever reason they wanted to do it in the first place.

Believe me, you don't want to follow that path.

Yeah, whatever you did that made them angry... accept it like a man. PArents may seem "uncool", but believe me, you'll thank them in the future. I'm sure they punished you for your own good. Peace.

Agreed. You could smash it. They wouldn't take it away then, but would be mighty pissed at you.
