    Huh? So have Macs. It's just been the Macbook Air that hasn't. And no PC has had user removable hard drives, they usually void the warranty.

    Some Dells have I think, it was just a one screw process

    Right, but they void the warranty when you remove the HDD. AFAIK Macbooks are one of the only ones that don't void the warranty and have user-replaceable hard drives.

    Well then I must be behind the times, because every time I've chatted with Dell, HP, etc. about replacing hard drives (I fix computers as a side hobby) they tell me I can only do it if I'm certified otherwise I void the warranty.

    I've never seen help guides that show how to replace the HDD like apple has for the MB.
