So my 32gb 3rd Gen Touch will arrive tomorrow. I have started making a list of free apps I'd like to install when i get it (pandora, google earth, etc.). But I am also likely going to jailbreak it.
My question is this: If I plan on jailbreaking in the near future, should I load all the apps now, or just jailbreak right away and set up the entire system with jailbroken apps?

    Hope that makes sense...

I think I'm just wondering if it makes more sense to invest the time initially to set it up with the itunes apps, or if i should just jump to the jb since I imagine there are similar/ better apps going that route and thus I wouldn't have to do everything twice.

There aren't really any apps similar to AppStore apps in Cydia. The only app that's in Cydia that is better than apps in the AppStore is GV Mobile, but since you are getting an iPod Touch, it's somewhat useless.

I don't think warranty will be an issue. If you jailbreak, don't bring it to Apple obviously. But if you are planning to bring it to them for some reason, just restore it before.

Why would he have to use PwnageTool? He's getting a 3rd Gen which ships with at least 3.1.1, so he should use blackra1n.
