    Hi there,

Does anyone knows an available bootloader that works in iPod Touch or iPhone? I was wondering when would be possible to run Ubuntu (or even Windows!)...

    Cheers,
    Rafael

Not Ubuntu/Windows x86. But sure Linux and Windows Mobile is possible. iPhone/iPod touch uses ARM processors.

But yes you've to flash the bootloader, which is located on a seperate rom - think you can - but very hard.

    Yeah - it's gonna happen.

There just needs to be a program like iPodWizard or ipodedit that can be used for the touch.

My thought was very straightforward: If people were able to load linux on a Nano/Mini/Classic, why not on a Touch?

I believe the touch is encrypted too. So you would have to get to the rom to make the bootloader and if it is encrypted then no separate OS etc.
