    Hi guys,

Love the site, been on the iphone side of things for awhile, just got my sister a new itouch 2Gen. Now, been throught the jailbreak process with Voltage, worked great and was very easy. Now my issue, which i dunno if its just an issue that happens normally, but once her itouch is off, we cannot start it up again ? It just doesnt respond. The only way i can get it back on is to go back to step 5 in Voltage, put it into DFU mode, patch the device then boot from menu.

I didnt quite know if this is meant to happen, but if it ever runs outta battery or has to be reset, we cant turn it back on unless i go back to pc and boot it from there. Is there anyway i can fix this ? Is it a common thing across itouch's ? Any help that could be thrown my way would be great. Thanks guys.

This Is Because You Have Jailbroken The iPod Touch With A Tethered Jailbreak
Look Up Redsn0w Or Quickfreedom To Jailbreak With An Untethered Result
Meaning You Can Turn It On And Off

No they don't :/ they took it off. I would use redsn0w because its a two step jailbreak.

Yeah thanks guys, scrapped and restore back to normal and used redsn0w to jailbreak. All done within about 10mins. All back to normal now, just restoring backup now.. Many pros and cons about each different way ?

If You Mean Between Redsn0w And Quickfreedom
Redsn0w Is Faster, Easier And Works With Make It Mine/LogoMe
    Other Than That No
