Ok so i have a school Apple Mac Book G4 and the school doesn't give us root privileges (clearly) which means no Terminal. So i'm wondering in case i accidentally turn it off can i just Boot my jailbroken iPod touch 2G without the Terminal Somehow?

Get the osx install cd and find the menu item for password reset. Then reset the admin password and use that.

you don't need root for terminal. go to Applications, then Utilities, then Terminal.

If it is a G4, it's an iBook. Really, hack that thing up and get admin privileges.

Boot into Single User Mode (Hold S).

passwd (Username) or if you want, change the password for root too.
