    ^^

Yup, when installing Windows, it just overwrites the current bootloader with a MBR. I think you need to do something on Ubuntu to make a GRUB. OR, I think you can do a bcdedit on Vista to include Ubuntu on the MBR, but I forgot how to do it.

So Vista that boots up and not ubuntu?

From what I read, (bare in mind I know nothing on ubuntu) you download it, put it on a floppy/usb stick whatever, set the bios to boot from it, and then it will overwrite the MBR (with it's own code) thats stopping you from being able to choose your operating system.

You might want to look into it more but I think thats right.

    im stuck at
"Once that's done, choose Configure - this launches the NeoGrub menu.lst file, location at C:\NST\menu.lst. Use Notepad or Wordpad to open the file, and then paste in the boot entries from the backup copy of MENU.LST you made earlier. These entries occur between "## ## End Default Options ##" and "### END DEBIAN AUTOMATIC KERNELS LIST". Save and exit, then reboot the machine."
