I have been flicikg through redtool 2.0 screenshots and seeing buttons for booting into/out of recovery mode via the computer but what i have always wondered is why we cannot do this (maybe we can and i just haven't seen it?) for DFU mode. It's no treally bothering me, i just really wanted to know...

    Thanx

I think this was possible in the 1.1.x firmwares, but apple changed something in the 2.0 firmware that broke this.

Yeah, now the only way to boot into recovery is to hold home while plugging your iPod in (while it is off). And to get out you have to use the thing in my signature, but I don't know if that works with 3.0...
