hey guys, ive had my touch JB for over 3 months now, but for no apparent reason it slipped into DFU mode, I'd like to boot it back up without having to restore it, I have some information i'd really like to keep (not backed up.)

    Is this possible?

Here's a tip that may help. (I have not tested it)

EDIT: Next time, a 30 second search will yield bountiful results for questions like yours. (That's how I found the post quoted above.)

all you need to do is do another jailbreak with redsnow, you won't lose anything, and it will boot, I don't know why this guy who has been on here for so long can't tell you this. They try to make it difficult.

You just hold home and power until it reboots...

But he was, he very much was. In fact, applications have been made for the purpose to get out of this problem, but using redsnow can be a better solution for several reasons.
