    OK. I'm installing Vista.

No matter what I do, as long as I don't make it larger then my OS X partition it won't ruin mah leopard right?

I have like 70gb left. As long as I don't make it larger the 70gb, it CANNOT hurt my OS X right? =p

I'm only going to be using it for developing.

Maybe a few games, but only a few.
    Maybe like 30gb

    Woo, it's 699.5mb.

    The disc is 700mb..

    That was close.

Now, question. I'm using a...free version of Vista. I'm not activating it, so technically it isn't pirated?
    Er..it might be..
    XD

But will it work just fine?

If it still needs to be activated, you can just get a keygen. No biggie.

You could just partition, and then try to format the partition. It's worked like 1/15 times I've tried.

    Formatting worked.

buuuuuut, when I boot up..I get the black screen that says something like
    *error* happened blah blah

    Would you look to do:

    Safe Mode
    Safe Mode With Networking
    Sade Mode With Command Prompt

    Start Windows Normally"

When I press Start Windows Normally it restarts...

    ^ That's not a problem with BootCamp. That's a problem with Windows.

And we need to know the error in order to fix it!

    what error was it?
i remember when i installed windows vista using bootcamp, i got an error with the bootloader.
if thats the error, then download EasyBCD and install it.
then run the program, go into "Manage Bootloaders" and reset it or reinstall it, i dont remember the option
