Boot Camp doesn't support Linux because it doesn't have the Drivers. You can install Linux and use the Windows boot loader to boot into Linux or you can install "rEFIt" to use a Boot Camp-like UI to boot into Linux or Windows.

Ive never tried this so its hypothetical, but couldn't you install windows with boot camp and install ubuntu using the Wubi installer? I don't know what the wubi installer actually does (does it make a new partition?), but it might be possible. If anything, its overkill anyway.

Like Teslanaut said, you would run into (Windows) driver issues with boot camp. If you make a new partition in boot camp, I'd assume it's just like making a new partition in Mac OS X .

Yeah this was just an idea, it isn't very practical.
