I'm kinda new here, and I've been searching around, but I cannot seem to find the books application for my touch.

When I download an eBook, it simply doesn't show up.
In the description, it says i need the book application.

Where can i find this? Thanks in advance.

Your ipod touch needs to be jailbroken (which installs the Installer app). In Installer, download the Books app from the Productivity category. Each book takes up significantly less than 1 mb (e.g., the 1st Harry Potter book = 639 kb). Search the forum: Book source - these threads will show you how to get an additional source for more ebooks than those in Installer/eBooks.

In addition to the sources, you can also download books that are in the public domain (e.g., Shakespeare, etc.) from www.ManyBooks.net - just download the books for "iPhone Books.app"

I can help you with this. As I too have books on my computer I wanted to put on my ipod touch 3.0. I use ebooks, but before you can do that you have to also have a utility called winscp. iphonebrowser will work to get the books on the ipod touch but you need winscp so you can change the permissions of the book to be changed on the ipod touch. Once you found winscp and learned how to ftp into your ipod touch, you have to create a folder in var/mobile/media/ebooks you can then create sub folders for your books if you want. Once you transfer the books over, you can right click them and change the permissions to 777. I know this sounds all complicated but it's not too bad. I can walk you through it. email me, boy@woh.rr.com
