Books.app Ebooks Help!!

    hey guys,

    So ive been looking through a couple of the ebooks sources they have out there and no one seems to have the book i wanted to read. so i was wondering if any one can teach me how to make my own ebooks to read on the ipod touch.

    I have no idea:
    where to dl the ebooks,
    how to make it so i can read it on my ipod,

    so anyone who knows help pls!!

    You can download lots of public domain books (Shakespeare, etc.) at ManyBooks.net - just select iPhone Books.app from the download format pull down.

    For creating your own, just save whatever file you have in TXT or HTML format. Break them into smaller sections or the startup time will be kind of long (I usually break my books into 10 chapters). Then just upload the files in a folder to ~/Media/EBooks folder on your iPod Touch. If you save a pictures as cover.jpg and put it into the folder, you'll have cover art too..

    Unless a book is public domain, you're probably not going to be able to find it outside of p2p networks. My library has an eLibrary program though where you can download books, you might want to look into something like that.
