Here is my question, has anyone ever thought of the idea of connect a cell phone to an ipod touch 2g through bluetooth. then have the phone send text messages to the ipod touch, where then you can answer messages from the ipod touch, once you hit send it is sent back through bluetooth to your phone? That would be an awesome idea especially for people who doesn't want an iphone or can't get it.

Are you wanting to text in class or something? Cuz texting over bluetooth would only work if you're in the same vicinity. And if you are wanting to text in class, pay attention! You might learn something!

All joking aside, bluetooth texting might be a draw if you're with a group of people and want to text someone on your ipod, but other than that, I can't see any real purpose for it. Especially cuz you can't be too far away from the receiving phone.

He would rather use the iPod touch for its touchscreen keyboard and the such. It would be cool (and battery draining) to pair an ipod with a phone and basically have an iPhone.

I have a internet data card for my computer. Then I saw the verizon mifi, sprint has one to. Its the same price as my data card every month ($50 with company discount) but I use it to connect my ipod through the wifi feature. I couldnt be happier. Seeing how I need a data card for work it makes my ipod alot like a iphone. I can also make calls using the voip apps. http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/05/13/verizon-mifi-2200-review/#commentform
