    Hi
As the title of my post suggests
My daughters 2g Touch 3.12 Jailbroken will not detect any devices at all.

I have a 3g Touch with same firmware etc. Bluetooth detects everything.... Laptop, mobile phone, bluetooth earphones etc with no problems.

I downloaded ibluenova in the vain hope that it would make a difference with no joy.

Would a bluetooth chip just not work? I didn't try it before jailbreak etc so not sure if its anything like that.

Any suggestions welcome as I'm pulling what's left of my hair out

It may be the chip, try RESET BEFORE you RESTORE, go to settings general reset, then reset all settings. If it doesn't work, restore it is. If not, apple store time.

    Hi
Thanks for your suggestions folks. I tried the RESET only and this didn't work.
I went to do the RESTORE, but it stated that the ipod would update to latest firmware (3.1.3), which as I understand makes my Touch unable to Jailbreak.

I had a look at downgrading etc, but don't fully understand it.

Once again, is to upgrade the only way I can restore?

    Thanks

After spending all day trying a number of online solutions for downgrading etc, I finally managed to use Redsn0w to get my Ipod Touch up and running with Cydia etc again.

If I'm allowed to link what I did, I will happily do it even tho I can take no credit for it

    Cheers

Return your iPod. The bluetooth chip doesn't work. Apple will replace it for free.

The Touch is only 3 months old. You think they will replace the whole thing or replace the bluetooth chip only. Not fussed either way

Chances are the entire device will be replaced.
