Ok, so here is a quick update on something I discovered. I will post instructions later because i'm in a hurry but I did make a quick video.

Basically now Bluetooth is always ON and if I even try to turn it off it stays on!

Umm guys, I really can't turn it off!!!
I'm afraid it'll start eating my battery.

EDIT: Nevermind, I rebooted and it went back to former state.
(Don't worry I can still get it to the permanent state!

That would be because the Bluetooth is not unlocked for other phones. Try to do it iPod-iPhone both ways and see what happens.

The Bluetooth project is to pretty much "jailbreak" the Bluetooth chip. I guarantee apple will restrict and limit the use of this feature in 3.0. And dim3000 are one of the awesome people who will open up the doors to Bluetooth apps for jailbroken devices.

    Thanks a lot,
and yes Apple will most likely limit the 3.0 bluetooth but it is guarantueed that they will provided some sort of bluetooth usage but my guess is that it will mostly be for app-to-app communication.
So to allow complete file transfer in 3.0 we will need some similar to the iBluetooth in Cydia.

I myself have a dev copy of 3.0 but am staying with 2.2.1 for now since 3.0 is not yet jailbroken. If anyone is using 3.0 I would appreciate it if you could tell me the current Bluetooth capabilites. App-to-app or actually file transfer?
