I am trying to pair up my ipod touch with my mobile phone, the phone can see the ipod but the ipod can't find the mobile (yes, it is on visibility)

the ipod's bluetooth screen just says searching........now discoverable.

I downloaded the 3.0 version is this why?
I also heard that having the wifi on at the same time interefered with it so that is turned off as well.

I've tried pairing it with my husband's mobile and the laptop, they aren't showing up either....any ideas?
    thanks

You can't conect your iPod touch/iPhone to a non apple bluetooth device.

You can only conect your iPod touch/iPhone to:
    -another iPod touch/iPhone
    -a stereo headset

A thing to make us all hate apple abit^^.

Pairing iPT with Jabra BT earpiece... grrr

I've been having a very frustrating time trying to get my iPT (2nd Gen., iPhone OS 3.0) to pair with a Jabra (non-stereo) Bluetooth earpiece. FWIW, my Mac mini desktop pc, paired just fine with with this gizmo, a Jabra BT2070.

Neither Jabra's nor Apple's website have any clear info I could find, on whether or not such a pariring is even possible. And, according to a previous posting, by Der-Kleine, only Apple's very own (expensive) BT earpieces, as well as stereo BT headsets (ALL stereo headsets?) can be paired with an iPT.

Is that actually a solidly established fact, in the opinion of knowledgeable techies at large? I hope not! ... since this would mean I've bought a device of virtually no use to me; one which I probably can't return for a refund.
    Grrr....

TIA for all responses to this query!
