Does anyone think that if we get the bluetooth unlocked it would mean that there is a possibility to transfer data from any two devices that include bluetooth? for example.. transfer a song or a picture between the ipod touch and another ipod touch 2g or a cellphone?

A Bluetooth Chip and an FM Tuner are two different things.

    Though both are still Radios.

Well, according to the home page news update thingy, the bluetooth chip found in a 2nd generation ipod touch can also be used for bluetooth and an fm tuner on top of what it already does, wifi.

Well, the chip may have the potential for bluetooth or FM reception but not in the iPod Touch due to hardware enforced limitations. The bluetooth is locked to the frequency of the Nike+iPod and can't be used any more broadly. Sort of like having a laptop but only being able to use the USB port to charge up stuff because the rest of the laptop is disabled.

I'd totally be stoked if I could use my bluetooth stereo headset with my 2G iPod Touch but I'm not sure it'll ever happen, even after it's jailbroken.

I'd be stoked to get fm radio. It's darn handy to hear the local news on.

They have already determined that the chip is in fact locked to nike+ by hardware and not something a hack can fix.
