It's not stickied as far as I see... I think your resin may be past its use-by date :)

lukeluke: I have literally no idea what you just asked.

Not so much a noob question as it is a noob action not to read the first post of the thread carefully enough (or simply Googling the word). :)

As stated in the first post:

That alternative (right now only for iPhone 2G/3G users, but hopefully soon for the rest of us) is iBluetooth.

In simple terms, it's a 3rd party app (i.e. not endorsed by Apple) that unlocks the full functionality of the Bluetooth chip in the iPod Touch or iPhone. So, instead of being limited to using Bluetooth only for wireless headsets and adhoc multiplayer games, you'll also be able to transfer files to and from your iPod.

    ---

Back on topic: still no updates for iPod Touch 2G/iPhone 3GS users, sadly. If anybody hears anything, please feel free to top this thread and I'll update the first post.

    Thanks, studangerous!

If anybody else gets an update before I have a chance to check, please feel free to post it in the thread and I'll update the first post.

Also, please feel free to direct the insufferable noobs to this thread when they ask about Bluetooth without bothering to search or read the stickies... :)

I'm still curious about the whole not-supporting-other-than-stereo headset/mic thing. I've been yearning to use my iPod Touch 2G as a GPS device. I mean, app store has so many great GPS apps there but iPod Touch owners can't use them? WTF? When it was confirmed that the 2G has BT, I was like, hoorayyy, but now I've been reading that it doesn't support any other device besides headset/mic/other iDevices?

Does anyone know if it's going to be possible to use iPod Touch 2G with Belkin or other BT GPS modules out there? I know it has to be jailbroken, which is why I jailbreak mine the minute I got home from the store. iBluetooth seems to show some potentials in that regard. I really wish I can use those nifty GPS apps from App Store. (BTW, I live in Indonesia, iPhones are just downright too expensive here. Even more expensive than in the States! Trust me! Indonesia may be a third world country or a poor backwater hell-hole or whatever, but those freakin' cellular companies are just sucking the lives out of their own people by selling this Godsend phones so expensive! I mean you guys can have a two year contract, cheap monthly bills, here, only one year and the phone itself is more expensive! sorry for ranting. I hate my own country... Which is why I'm planning on moving to Canada next year. Don't care if I can't speak English or French. I'm moving out of this sh!t-h0le no matter!).
