I have a 16 GB ipod touch with 3.0 firmware, jailbroken with redsn0w.

Me and my friend, who has a 32 GB ipod touch with 3.1.2 firmware, jailbroken with blackra1n have been trying to play simple bluetooth games together, but it won't find either device. This has been true with Tank War, Monopoly, and just trying to search for each others device while in discovery mode. Wi-Fi games work fine, btw. Any suggestions?

Try a fresh restore. It should work.

upgrade to 3.1.2. I'm sure there's differences in the BT stack from 3.0

Both devices must be on the same firmware. At least that's what I've concluded.
