Yes, it's true. Apple with-held some very important information about the 2G iPod Touch. According to iFixit, they disassembled (with pictures) an iPod Touch 2G and spotted a Bluetooth Chip. From iFixit: Could we be seeing a firmware update that allows access to this Bluetooth soon? EDIT: Clearly people think this is for the Nike+, problem is it's fact that Nike+ uses a manipulated version of Bluetooth specially developed for the product. While this doesn't eliminate the possibility for this chip being the receiver, it makes it extremely rare. There's a great chance that the firmware for the Bluetooth just isn't ready yet, but they wanted the device there so 2G owners could have Bluetooth access when it's ready for release. Touch Version 2.2 is not far off, inside sources say it includes major updates and that you shouldn't rule out the possibility of anything.
