    Hi,
I am wondering if there is any way that I can use a bluetooth headset to talk into my 8gb Ipod Touch using skype or voice recorder. I've recently bought a very nice Motorola S9-HD but found out that Ipod Touch doesn't support Hands-free-profile

So it there an upgrade that I can download to make this possible, or perhaps a bluetooth adaptor to connect to the ipod so i can talk? i just hate using anything that has a wire

    much appreciated

Does the iPod touch actually support that? I haven't heard of it.

    Nope, it doesn't support it.
My 3G iTouch doesn't support any of that either, can't even connect it to my phone or laptop.
I tried connecting it to a Creative iPod dock through bluetooth, but I had to click a bleutooth dongle on it to make it work.

Your iPod only supports apple bleutooth stuff.

That would be wrong. You can use non-apple Bluetooth stuff.

    This is what you want.

OP, i don't know of any Bluetooth headsets that work with the IPT.

so none of the bluetooth mics would work right?
    this is such a downer
is it something with the bluetooth device or can it be fixed with apple's upgrade or a hack?

Has anyone explored software or hardware workarounds with the new iPT 4G? The last Cydia developer to work on Bluetooth, Matthias Ringwold, is too busy to address this.

Just trying to drum up some discussion again, maybe share info as a community and find some answers. Personally, I'd be willing to offer up large sums of money to a developer who created a HFP app like BTstack in the Cydia store.

I put to gether a couple of items to create a bluetooth mic.
