How about a screen shot? Are you sure it is not the TTY symbol?

I am assuming something is not working for you (maybe bluetooth).

the TTY symbol looks like a phone handset over some keyboard buttons. the only thing I found that even sounds like that is a symbol for cydia labeled 'damaged' but it's yellow not blue. any mods or widgets you have installed might help narrow it down too.

hey i just found something. I was messing with a theme I'm working on and I modified the html file while it was still in use. this caused a blue square with a question mark in the status bar. maybe the one you're seeing is similar and there is a corrupt file that cannot be referenced by winterboard or a widget or something.

Yeah, corrupt themes cause misplaced icons and or improper icons.

If it stays after changing themes and such, just do a restore!

Turns out this is to say you have an unread push notification.
Anyone know what it is that causes this?

To find that out - Restart springboard so it clears... @ yourself on twitter to get a push notification.. icon appears... slide to open a twitter app from the push notifiaction and the icon went away.
If you dont do this then the icon stays >_<

    AHA! Found it.
If you have lock info it appears. Its part of Lock Info

Settings - LockInfo - Plugins - Notifications - Turn off Status Bar Icon.
