I don't think Steve realised just how much Google produced, often free of charge. Here is a quick list just as an example.
    Maps (everything maps related)
    Search
    News
    Youtube
    Android (open source free software)
    Gmail
    Google drive
    Sketch up
    Chrome
    Relevant ads
    Chrome book

I know someone is going to rattle off apples achievements and this is not an attempt to feed to trolls but just think about the amount of Google based software or products you interact with every day

It's search and youtube. Nothing more.
i think it's natural for Jobs to not want to give one of his greatest competitors in the smartphone OS market an additional market on his own platform. So why shouldn't he move away from Google?

It makes sense to me. Why have your competitor do it when you can do it yourself. It's not like they're blackballing Google, you can still do maps etc. through Safari.
