So I tried to jailbreak my friend's iPod touch 3g 8gb and after the blackra1n picture appeared. Then the screen went black and now it won't connect to iTunes and it won't turn on.

Make sure iPod is off, plug it into the computer and hold down the home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. If that doesn't work try DFU mode.

run blackra1n again, first time is to jailbreak it, 2nd is to turn it on. You need to run blackra1n whenever you turn off your ipod from now on if its any 3G

When I tried running blackra1n again it just said "waiting for phone" and the iPod still never turned on... :/

I know EXACTLY why that happened. It happened because you are not using a USB 2.0 port on your computer. Use a USB 2.0 port and it will be solved. The same thing happened to me.

EDIT: oh wait... nvm.. for me the geohot pic never appeared and running balckra1n caused the blackscreen.

One thing to be worried about: SWOD. (Spinning Wheel of Death). One time i randomly got that so i rebooted and it worked. Another time, i got it during a manual shutdown, and it wouldn't reboot, so i had to DFU restore. It was scary. I got the shutdown wheel going for like 5 min, before i tried to solve it.

if using the 2.0 doesnt work then try a different computer or even OS
