It's in its early stages, but it seems that blackra1nb0w is coming.

Blackra1nb0w is an app for Mac that allows you to enhance iPhone 3G and iPhone EDGE to allow a number of different things that come included on the iPhone 3GS. These are as follows:

    Voice Control
Video recording (in default camera app)
    Accessibility
    and also a backup option.

It's a while away for now, and blackra1nb0w is still in alpha, but they have already started recruiting beta testers. So, all we've got to do now is wait and hope is comes true!

    UPDATE

There has been amazing progress with Blackra1nb0w. It's not totally finished yet, but everything works! (Sort of)

Video Recording: Working, and you can take pictures too! (Both are enabled without having to type and command lines) Problem: Although it recordes video at 30fps, it turns out greenish...
The 'Send to YouTube' button also works, and when it's finished uploading, you even get the 'Uploaded using iPhone' on the YouTube video description.

    Here's what I mean:

Voice Control: Made the least progress so far. Holding the home button brings it up, but it goes after about one second. Mind you, they have had to rebuild Voice Control from scratch
Accessability: Everything here works, except, of course, the Voice Control.

What's the odd's of having this ported to PC? I have Windows 7 and would actually pay to have this on my PC.

    To the dev:

    Port it to Windows.
Make it for the iPod touch 1G/2G, too.

    Why not?

If you really want to, refer to it as orangemu5h, it doesn't matter the name.

Also add more features. Aside from that, if you port it to Windows and need BETA testers put my name in the hat. I'd love to be drawn out and chosen.

It does not sound emo, I kind of take that in offense.

I don't really see a point in making it for iPod Touch too. I mean, for voice control you're gonna need headphones with a mic and for the iPod Touch 1G... idk! It just wouldn't be worth it really.

Oh, by the way, I did not create this program, is was developed by someone I know.
