Okay, I'm getting stuck on "enter recovery" on 3.1.2

    • iPod Touch 2G
    • Vista 32x
    • Running Blackra1n under admin
    • On the latest iTunes 9.0.1.8

Anything else you need? and how do I solve this?

I had the same problem haha. I restored and tried again, and it worked.

Did your iPod come with 3.1 OTB?

He said that he has a 2G. 3.1 OTB only comes pre-loaded onto the iPT3G, not the 2G.

If it's not a big problem for you, I would recommend doing a full restore to 3.1.2 again and try once more, because I can't think of anything that would cause this problem, since I'm running almost all of the same specs.

turn off ipod. make sure it's disconnected from the computer, then run blackra1n whilst the ipod is disconnected. click the 'make it ra1n' button and then connect the ipod. it should work then.

3 of my friends had the same problem.. 2 with iphone 3g's and one with an ipt2g. after using the method I posted above, they were all able to jailbreak.

    1. Restore

    2. If it's an 8GB: on iPod -> Settings, General, About -> check model number

If it starts with MB you are safe, and move on to the next step, if it starts with MC, wait for another jailbreak to become available.

    3. If it's not an 8GB: Keep trying, or wait for something else.

    Hope I helped.
