*SOLVED* - See solution at bottom.

I have an 8GB iPod Touch 3G on 3.1.3 firmware. It has a tethered JB. My iPod battery got too low and turned off by itself. Now I am trying to run Blackra1n on my computer and Windows Vista is telling me Error blackra1n.exe has stopped working whenever I click 'Make it ra1n'. I don't know what to do?

Should I restore my iTouch with the 3.1.3 firmware and downgrade?

Or is there something else I can do / should try?

EDIT: I have already tried rebooting the computer and re-downloading the blackra1n program.

Hmm. I tried downloading 3.1.2 firmware and shift+restoring and iTunes gives me an error... I'm stumped. Do I need to have the 3.1.3 firmware first?

Blackra1n still won't let me reboot the device...

    Any help is appreciated!

Try to get a virtual machine with XP running and use an ISO from *fave ******* site* and use the 30 day trial and it should work.

EDIT: VirtualBox didn't help my case. I found out the problem was that I had disabled the Apple Mobile Device Service. I turned it on and was able to boot up with blackra1n, no problem!

Hope this is of help to somebody else!
