It's just that simple. Blackra1n just doesn't work for me. EVERY TIME I try to jailbreak my 16GB 2G 3.1.2 iPod Touch, this is what happenes in the .log:

INFO: welcome to blackra1n for windows
    INFO: loaded dll at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\iTunesMobileDevice.dll

    INFO: command geohot sent
INFO: I JUST DROPPED IT LIKE ITS HOT
    WARN: wtf who called this?
    INFO: global callback finished

And my iPod just gets stuck on the picture for hours and hours without rebooting. I've tried everything. I've tried it with iTunes up, I've tried it with a different USB port, I've tried it when running as an administrator, everything. My iPod probably has to be the must stubborn iPod in the world, because this isn't the first time i've had trouble jailbreaking it.

Anyone have a clue on how to jailbreak it?

I see in your profile your on 3.0

Upgrade to 3.1.2 and try again.

Oh lol I forgot to update that. I have 3.1.2 firmware. If I still had 3.0 I would still be using redsn0w and my iPod wouldn't be stuck in recovery mode. So yeah, I do have 3.1.2. It just doesn't work for me.

Yes, I leave it in the whole time, but it never reboots.

Exact same thing with me. I got me a Windows XP. My iPods a 1G, if it matters. Let me know if you get an update. I'm gonna try updating iTunes to 9.0.2 tomorrow, see if it helps

I think i might have the solution....

Ok, if your iPod is tethered, then you must run the program twice. Also, you must go the blackra1n app on your iPod. After you install rock or Cydia, you must then restart your iPod.
