Hey! I just got my iPod touch 3G 32Gb today... And when i was going to jailbreak it, Blackra1n crashed when it said: Jailbreak done, rebooting

Now its stuck at recovery mode. I have firmware 3.1.2 and iTunes 9.0.3

If you just got it then you cannot downgrade it to 3.1.2(unless you have the 3.1.2 ecid and shsh for that particular ipod.),
Nor are there any jailbreaks currently available for 3.1.3.
There are rumors of a release either at the end of April or the beginning of May.
But as far as I know they are unconfirmed.

Do a complete restore and do not attempt to jailbreak until further notice from the head honchos of this forum.

Try running blackra1n once again or try a different computer.

Don't listen to this guy. You CAN NOT jailbreak on the new 3g's. (FW 3.1.3) You're just going to have to restore and wait until JB 3.1.3 comes out. Sorry.

HE SAID HE'S ON 3.1.2, if he is wrong about his firmware then yes they are both right

If running blackra1n a second time does not work (although it should, 3G have a tethered jailbreak which means you must run blackra1n on it every time you turn on your iPod) then you can try to download redsn0w 0.9.4 and jailbreak it that way. Real simple instrucions and a little more efficent then blackra1n

My apologies. I now understand what he's explaining. And yes. I know exactly what you're talking about. Once you run blackra1n once. It still keeps it in recovery mode. After you've done it once, run blackra1n another time. That should fix it. I was myself stuck in that situation. Very frustrating without knowing what to do. -_-

Which why I was originally thinking he could not downgrade, because the new 3g's are incapable of downgrading without SHSH'ing correct?
