Hi. I installed the semi-tethered jb, along with winterboard patch and other stuffs.

My problem is that everytime I try to boot or reboot the ipod (slide to power off/bossprefs/reboot command in terminal), I get a solid black screen and the ipod is totally unresponsive. It won't boot into not-jb filesystem, in fact I don't even get to the infinite apple icon loop, nothing shows up on the screen no matter what I do.

I am able to get it into DFU and boot into jailbroken fs via tether.

Anyone know why this would happen?

    2.2 or 2.2.1

if 2.2, is there a particular reason?

Restored to 2.2.1 stock, jailbroke again

still no-go.... totally black screen after restart, doesn't respond to anything

can only boot through dfu > iboot > fsboot

    resolved.

this tutorial: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143870 was missing the step to copy over a stock iBoot into pwned .ipsw
