Followed the instructions to upgrade to 2.0. My iPod has 1.1.4 jail broken, and I use the WinPwn software on the .ipsw file and then used the iPwned button. It put the iPod in recovery mode with the white text on screen, but then the screen went black, so I left it for a while.

Now it will not turn on, not with sleep button for 30 seconds, not with sleep+home. I re-installed iTunes 7.7 and WinPwn 2.0.0.3, and it still does not turn on.

Try DFU mode. You may be in it also. Try holding home and sleep for 15 seconds and then try turning it on

    WinPwn bricked ipod touch

With home+sleep the screen remains black, no Apple logo. I only tried it for two minutes but I assume there will be no change if I hold them for longer.

I tried the method above involving dfu.exe to force restore mode, it runs but never finds the iPod.

Please explain how to do this, if perhaps I am not understanding. Holding Home+sleep does not effect DFU, does not display Apple logo, screen stays black.
