I was trying out logome for the first time and I had chosen an image and pressed the image flash button and then everything restarted. A message saying mobile substrate had saved my iPod and was now in safe mode appeared and asked if I wanted to restart the springboard. I clicked restart, everything was normal I held down the power button to restart to see if it had worked, but the screen went black and never came back on.

It's not recognized in iTunes or Windows and I can't seem to put it in DFU mode or I'm not doing it right.

    Any suggestions?

Try to input the combination to get into DFU mode. Then do whatever such as restoring or exiting DFU mode. It worked for me
