Hi guys, i was just wondeirng if anyone else out there has my problem and how to fix it without rejailbreaking

. What i did was add a custom picture BUT it was from a website that made their own boot screen logo, seeing as it is in the correct format that its supposed to be in etc i kind of doubt it would be the picture itself. thanks everyone for your help

Can you provide the picture? It would help if we could examine it.

The first screen I made was via photoshop which saved it in 24bit, since I couldn't get photoshop to save in 32bit I said screw it, repacked the firmware and went to update, which resulted in a 1601 error.

Since then I just open a 32bit png in mspaint, do all my editing in photoshop, then save with mspaint, it's a sad day when the mighty photoshop is defeated by mspaint.

Anyways, I would be willing to bet if your bootscreen is a problem, it will fail in the process of copying the firmware over, so your problem is most likely something else.

I didn't find a way to fix the boot logo without re-jailbreak.
What I did was to jailbreak again with QuickFreedom, but using a logo created with these instuctions:

    Hope this helps...

The image must support transparency. What I did, was make a single black dot transparent.
If something is transparent in bootlogo, then it's black

You have to make delete a small pixel and save as PNG 32bit.
Then create the fw with QuickFreedom, NOR flash firmware, etc etc.
