Make sure you have BSD subsystem installed.

Also do a search with the words... iphonebrowser and FONTS... you'll find my guide for getting ALOT more space then moving the apps folder.

i have actually done your guide.
screwed up my ipod for a little.
but then re-entered the code for virtual relocation or whatever.
    works perfectly.
still haven't moved my apps tho, but i have a lot of free space, so it's fine.
eventually if i run low again, i'll move the apps.

btw, i liked ur guide, if you could add how to do the same for apps, that would be perfect.

my itouch no longer freezes, which is obviously great.

I learn from my mistake too

I will never install bsd subsytem because you cannot uninstall it. It froze my ipod , I couldn't connect to itunes, and to jailbreak my ipod again I had to double jailbreak meaning doing the jailbreak steps over twice because the first time didn't work.

Yeah, the capitalization is the biggest issue that people run into...

You have to follow the capitalization EXACTLY or it won't work.

FYI.... you can do the SAME thing with the apps folder BUT, you MUST do it via an SSH (read: SFTP) application.

The " virtual relocation " works exactly the same, but instead of my original guide......

You would, instead of, deleting and adding a new "Fonts" folder, you would MOVE the "Applications" folder.

Once you log into your iPoT, you would use a command lines like such (within the SSH / SFTP application)....

    mv /Applications /private/var/Applications
(This moves the Applications folder from the System Root (OS partition) to the same area that you would have moved the Fonts folder in my guide.)

    ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications
(This creates the "symbolic link" from the "hard drive" area back to the System Root, the same thing we did with the Fonts folder in my guide)

The above is NOT necessarily a guide, but should give you a general idea of what I mean.

You couldn't use a Terminal Program from within the iPod Touch to move the applications folder, because you can't MOVE the Applications folder, while would be running an application from WITHIN the Folder you were trying to move.
That's like basically, standing in the middle of a rope bridge while cutting off both ends. (ie. THAT WOULD BE BAD!
