big problem

    i have a problem with my ipod touch. after i switch on it it as usually apple logo appears.after that the only thing it displays is connect to itunes image.when i connect it to itunes it says an error connecting to ipod 0xe800006c.i showed it in an apple store and they said it is an hardware problem and if i pay 70percent of money he will replace it with a new one.what to do?

    I've tried searching for a solution, but can't find one.
    It seems like a very mysterious problem very few have encountered.

    And how come they will give you a new one for 70% of money? That's odd...
    Good thing I have extended warranty on my 1g until august 25 2010

    That's really weird, I've never seen a error code like that. And if they say it's a hardware problem that means iTunes won't be able to fix it. And what does "pay 70% of money he will replace it " mean? That's drug dealer talk.

    I think he means he'll get 30% off a new touch if he gives in his old one, like a trade in?

    I wouldn't do that 70% deal. Try dfu - restore to factory settings. Sorted out most of my problems.
