Ok so I was jailbreaking my ipod touch 2nd gen for the second time... It went through successfully the first time but I had so much crap on it so I wanted to restore it and do it again. Anyways, I went through all the steps and the ipod went into recovery mode and I loaded jb.iwsp or w.e it is and it showed the apple logo with the loading bar and that completed and I got the thing from Itunes saying it was complete but then all of a sudden I get this msg on the corner of my screen saying "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message." I'm having a feeling there isn't anything I can do. I can't get anything to appear on the ipod, no matter how long i hold the power button. But every time I plug it in I get that message.

    Um...
What's hard to understand about what he said?
Put your iPod into DFU Mode then run redsn0w 0.3

To get into DFU mode, when your ipod is off, hold power and home buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, then release the power button, continue holding home for another 10 seconds.. Then redsn0w will take over.

Or just use the DFU helper that runs when you first open redsn0w.exe
