I had 1.1.2 jailbreak and yesterday I wish to upgrade it to 1.1.4 using the installer...It worked flawlessly, however, today it showed in the screen the Itunes icon with the cable (suggesting recovery mode) and when I connect it to itunes it says that I will have to restore my ipod... Any advices in order to not erase my current songs, videos, etc...

well your ipod is in recovery mode therefore your songs are already erased. so just go into recovery mode then if you want to downgrade look in my signature or just use ziphone in 1.1.4 to jailbreak it if you have an 8 gig.

his stuff isn't erased. he is just in recovery mode. you can use ibrickr v.97 or the tools in ziphone to force your device to boot, where all will be as normal. I am testing a fix for this but am having some issues getting installer to imply the fix sooo.... stay tuned

download ziphone 2.5c from ziphone.org and press normal mode under advanced options/settings.

i have been using this in OS X and can say that it does the same thing but it has more tools than iBrickr. I forgot that ziphone is for Windows too lol
