Big itouch problem

    hello everyone i have a big itouch problem my friend gave me his itouch for my sidekick 3 and he left to canada now he didnt tell me the password and my itouch was blank like its dark no screen i tried turning it on but it doesnt work it connects to the computer but it says i need a passcode BUT the screen is BLANK like its dark how am i supposed to put the pass code in if the screen is blank like it gets recognized by itunes but the screen still stays blank and it wont let me connect to itunes since it says that i first need to unlock the itouch with the code then ill be able to connect so what do i do now?

    Boo hoo.

    Plug it in and make sure it's off.
    Hold both buttons for 10 seconds exactly.
    Release the power button and hold the home button until the iPod comes up in iTunes as in restore mode.
    Restore, and use.

    Next time, try formatting your writing. Reading that almost makes me laugh. It seems like someone's trying to talk like hyper-speed, maybe around 3 words a second...

    I'm not quite sure what you want though. Try what Gitykins said. That is, put it in DFU mode and restore.

    I rather think that he really was typing at hyperspeed Fehr but regardless of his typing, you don't have to be so harsh dude! Saying things like that really hurts some people some time you know!

    And yes, I'll recommend restoring with either Recovery or DFU.
