Ok, now it isn't like, the screen is different from iPhone 4 or such. Instead I learned something the hard way.
When you break your iPod Touch Screen, and you will someday

, be ready to pay more than the previous generations. According to the Small Dog Electronics', a New England based Apple group, their repair man informed me that the new screens are actually fused to the glass!
So since my new iPod, which was accidentally dropped glass face down, will cost more since the LCD and Glass are actually one new part. He concluded that Apple did this move to force people to buy new iPods instead of repairing. The current cost of repair from apple is around $199.

So GET YOUR CASE AND PROTECT YOUR GLASS. Seriously.

umm.. first of all, i will not break my screen someday. had a 2G for 2 years, dropped that thing SO many times, not a scratch on the screen to show for it.
hard to break the thing honestly.

second, a case will not protect the screen. unless its like one of those flip thingies.

third, we all know repairing the screen will cost a lot.

    but thanks
