I like watching movies on my iPhone when I'm travelling for business but the screen can strain my eyes once in a while. Any one have any ideas what gadgets are out there? TIA

None that i know off, unless you buy a separate screen that you can plug the Phone into, or use a laptop (Works for me). 0.o

Trust me, theres no better way to watch things on the iphone than having them on the screen.
    Id recommend a netbook

Other devices... Maybe a portable DVD player ? Or a PSP ? No... They're too bulky compared to the iPhone/iPod touch. Once every few minutes I usually pick a distant point, focus on that for a few seconds then return to it. Or if it's an action packed movie I pause and take a break when things chill out.

Tho I'm ok with animated content. Less strain on the eyes I guess (due to lower detail ?). I can watch Family Guy for hours.

The Zune has an OLED screen, that would be a good option if you mainly use it for music/videos

Agree. OLED is just amazing. The quality, the durability, the uses.

Shame apple didn't use in iPhone 3Gs (which makes me think they won't add to iPod touch).

If its a bigger screen you want, buy a Notebook, or one of them projectors that plug into iPods (are they out yet) but might be distracting to other peopel if your say, on a bus

    .

but if its just the quality, look into an OLED screen device, such as Zune HD.

I am nearsighted. I hold it close. It appears large.

I do save my eyesight, by converting DVD's using xVid4PSP 5.0 free software, which is optimized for iPhone/Touch.

    That video is sharp.

Forget looking at cam videos: bad for the eyes and just bad.

That pico projector looks good. I have seen good comments about it in this forum.
