I'm 16 and looking to buy a new mac, which do you think would be a better purchase?
I usually just surf the web, make a few slideshows for my family, and download some movie *******s.

You don't need a Mac to do that.. Lol.. Honestly you don't.. Macs are for Entertainment and mass storage of music.. Your talking about paying for something thats over $1,000 and not even using 10% of what your getting.. Just get a HP Entertainment Notebook and be happy..

    Black Macbook for Portability.

iMac for for Watching the Media.

Or, you can get a Mac Mini to use as a Media Center to connect to your Speakers & TV.

    It can download too.

Well, you'd have to be a complete retard to actually want a macbook air, so I guess you should make your decison depending on your budget and whether or not you need it to be portable

Yeah, for what you want to do, a Black MacBook sounds the go.

With MacBooks, later on you'll want to do more with them, so you won't be wasting your money or anything. They're great machines!

i'm going to go with the black macbook, but one more question.

is the macbook pro worth the 300 dollar upgrade, the only significant difference i've seen is the led 15 inch monitor the black macbook doesn't have.

so good decision that i'm going with the black macbook or no?
