HWPen is an iPhone/Touch handwriting recognition tool!

It's now available for download through:
    the iPhone Cake Repository:
    Code:
    iphonecake.com/src/all
    or through the IOICN Repository:
    Code:
    http://www.ioicn.com.cn/installer/

    WARNING:
It is in beta stages... So they recommend backing up /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist and leaving WiFi and SSH ON when testing it out.

    They also say:

Have fun with it! Tell of your experience here!

    UPDATE:
I've just had a go with it... And it has many features.

Go to notepad, go to type and click on the Circle in the bottom left corner of your screen.

Firstly, you need to select what you're writing... The choices are on the left hand side.
    • Japanese Text?
    • Letters?
    • Numbers?
By default... You start on the half screen. This has half of the HW app in a white box, and the other half in a grey box with a kind of crosshair. This is good, because after you write a letter or number, it gives you a choice of similar letters or numbers. It's like predictive text! Maybe in its release form, it will learn your handwriting over time?

Tap the blue arrow in the top right corner, and the full HW section of your notepad turns into a drawing pad. This is a problem if you want to type small or big letters - It can't seem to differentiate for me... So I end up having to type them in manually anyway.

Here are some screenshots from my iPhone:

    Predictive Text.

Part of my "W" (It was hard to write and then tap capture so it would screenshot it in time...)

No, actually turning off your iPod then turning it back on is what I'm asking, not re-springing.
