So I'm stuck on ios4 so I should make the best of it by using the multasking option.
But I'm wondering is backgrounder better in terms of preserving battery and less lag?
Which one is the better option?

On the 2nd gen, each one has its fair shair of bugs and crashes, but if you dont mind paid apps, i would recommend multiflow and backgrounder

I use multifl0w/backgrounder if anything cause it is better than Apple's at actually multitasking. As for battery life, go with Apple or none.

    So multifl0w/backgrounder uses more battery?
and what about the RAM usage, does one method use more than the other?

I would say that apples way uses less ram, but multiflow is smoother

I had no problems with IOS4 multi-tasking, since i put it on (4 weeks or more ago). No lag, no bugs or whatever. i have sometimes about 5 programs at the same time..

No you use the ios multitasking but set up backgrounder to only multitask the apps you want.

(Example: you are in the facebook app, you can set it so when you hold down the home button it will multitask facebook.)

Unlike the regular multitasking which puts everything in there.

There is a guide on how to do this in the forums.

    What idevice do you have?
Do you have the link? but wouldn't it drain battery and use more RAM since it's using both rather than just one?

Apple Backgrounding SLOWS your ipod down SOOO much.

So i would go with backgrounder, thats faster.
