I'm new to this and my iPod touch is getting shipped, but I would like to know the in's and out's of JB before it gets here.

My question is, what one do you guys prefer Cydia, Rock, Icy?
    And why?

    Thanks.

I prefer Cydia as it's the only dependable APT manager.

    Icy has been discontinued.

Rock causes many problems which result in a lot of users having to restore.

    Cydia, defiantly.

It's been out the longest (and still managed), and hasn't caused as many problems as others.

Cydia is a good choice, but I would consider rock as well. Icy is discontinued as of now.

I heard that Rock had all the apps for Cydia plus more?
  9. Rock's UI is cleaner and faster than Cydia's, but Cydia is probably the best choice. But I've heard rumors that having both rock and cydia installed can cause problems, I wonder i that's true.

I use both and so far haven't experienced any problems (although my iPod froze and I waited over 5 minutes before restarting it with Power button and Home button, only to have it go into recovery mode and when I try to use blackra1n.exe it doesn't work no matter what...only a restore through iTunes solved the problem, but I don't think it had to do with rock and cydia...at least I hope not).

I have both and aside from the once in a while crash when I mess with themes too much, it doesnt really freeze on me too much.

A friend told me that since Rock has an online account for you, it lets you restore your apps and things you download from the Rock installer whenever you restore. Does Cydia do that also?
