Anything a little over or under is fine. I don't want anything in-ear. I'm just sick of the apple ones and the awful quality. I'm willing to go up to $80 but i don't want to pay any more then that. thanks

Yeah, head-fi are basically a forum full of pure audiophiles. I am on there and they are very helpful. Many of the members are around 20+. There are some Sennheiser on ears that are pretty decent. Have a look at them.

Sennheiser CX300s and MX51s are good I guess. Not top tier, but like; mid-top tier.

    I lol'd.

And just go to head-fi and look at your price range in their section that has a few suggested pairs. Pick up whichever one you think looks the best or would be the most comfortable for the shape/size of your head, because they'll all be decent.

Bose IE = good bass, not good at sound isolating
scl 3 = great isolating, great sound,
apple in-ear earphone = not good at bass, middle sound isolating

so.. go with shure scl 3
