The AirStash looks like a good idea, but at $99 it's a little pricey.

Would the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit work on the iPT4?

Any other suggestions on how to get videos and pics off the iPT4?

    Thanks.

Just connect it to your Windows PC, go to "Computer" click on your iPt4 and copy the images over to your PC

As said above windows should recognise your ipod as a digital camera and from there you should be able to copy the files to your computer. On a mac i think you can open them in iphoto then just copy them to wherever you want. I am pretty sure that air stash product you are looking at is for sharing media to your ipod, not copying media from it.and from most people i have heard that the connection kit doesn't work on any other device except for the ipad.

    Hope this helps

If you need to do it wirelessly, you can always get Dropbox.

I like this idea, but the free basic service is only 2GB. I would think that 2GB wouldn't be enough to share/backup lots of photos and HD video, say while on vacation.
    I like this idea though.

if you plug the iPod into your computer with photos/videos on it from the cameras it should get recognized by a photo app on you computer so you can import photos and videos. on my MacBook iPhoto opens up right away when i plug my iPod in.

Ya, I got that, but what if there's no PC available. Say your on a trip with just your iPT and you want to get photos/vids off it to free up space for more.
There has to be something like either an SD card adaptor or do it wirelessly, right?

How about a 'public' folder (a feature of OS X), that would allow other devices on the same wireless network to retrieve files?

It would, at least in theory. iOS devices can use the PTP protocol, a standard for digital camera connections, so the iPad should recognize the iPT4 as a normal camera.
