What do you think is the best IM application for the touch? I have used fring, appollo and Mobilechat, and I'm leaning towards Mobilechat. It actually has some options for your status and adding a buddy. Fring is pretty good also, seeing as how you can have skype, msn, yahoo etc all on one list. I just wish one of these apps would give you more options when running this IM.

Just wanted to know what everyone else thought was the best. Maybe I'm missing one.

mobile chat is the best in my opinion. i havent really tried fring cause i signed in and it seemed wierd. apollo is pretty good too. but i still prefer mobile chat. even though you can only sign in to one at a time . you can have a lot more diferent style accounts (.mac, aim, icq, msn, etc etc)

try them all see what you think. try it for a one week period.. add me and tell me which one you like .. i like to hear these opinions -- silverandcold30 --

    cheers

Yes they're all native. I guess the one thing fring has going for it is that it doesn't log you out when you use other applications. I could see fring being a great application once they flesh out more options and features. I guess I should be happy that we have native apps to choose from right now.

Apollo stinks. MobileChat is really good. I haven't tried fring though.

You can use http://meebo.com through Safari, as it supports landscape view aswell.

Also, you can use ICQ, MSN, AIM, Meebo and others all in one.
