For iPod touch 2G, on windows OS, what is THE best combination In terms of BATTERY LIFE (the TOP priority) and other stuff (pretty much tested out some stuff)

I had yesterday the redsn0w 0.8 on 3.0 - The battery life was somewhat poor. Now I am on 2.2.1 but cannot tell difference... The iPod came (with restored firmware before sending) from apple care as "Works normally, nothing wrong in battery"

So, as just battery, and stuff?

    3.0 + RS0W 7.1 - 7.2 - 8.0?
    2.2.1 and RS0W 0.3/QFreedom(plus version maybe?)?

There should by the way be better wider jailbreak area.

You can also just throw opinions, but I really would like to get into state where I will not restore the device DAILY just to test what is better and what is not and not really see solid evidence.

    Help appreciated, peace!

I've just Jailbroken with 3.0 FirmWare, and RedSn0w 8.0, And I don't really see a difference between this and when I had my 2.2.1 FirmWare jailbroken with RedSn0w.

I had 2.2.1 JailBroken for a VERY Long time.
I've only just restored, and Jailbroken to 3.0 Within the past day, simply because all of the Applications I use have upgraded to 3.0, And have rendered unusable for me.

Have you tried removing unnecessary launchdaemons and languages? I've heard they will help battery a little.
